The ink level of the "smart" ink cartridges equipped with smart card adaptor / reader, is controlled by the IC chip of the smart card. When all the ink is consumed, the ink level indicator of the smart card IC chip shows "empty". This means that the cardridges become unuseable, even if they are refilled. At this point, a simple smart card replacement suffices in order to reset the ink level to 440 ml (if the specific smart card is used), making thus possible the re-use of the cartridge after refilling it.
USAGE:
The usage of the Refillable Ink Cartridges is recommended almost for all cases. However it is more appropriate for demanding applications involving a substantial printing volume. Also the usage of is recommended, together with 
Premium Quality Ink.
